We are the people…

It’s lighter later here and, despite the heat, the promise of Autumn comes.

My usual routine takes me into the garden, once my house animals are fed and watered, and a short trip around our small garden.

I feed the various birds — large and smalll, water the garden and kick balls for the dogs (and sometimes the cats).

If I’m late they call me (the birds I mean) or so I like to think. Irrespective of my mood, it moves me and I think forward momentum is everything.

On my move this morning I saw the sun peaking up over the mountain, a(nother) balloon sneaking down into the valley and a flower bursting into herself (with a little photo bomber for the added glee); I walked and I thought.

The words that ring in my mind, most mornings are:

Be.

Here.

Now.

I came into coffee and the quiet of my journal and the world just waking up. Then a podcast reminded that this isn’t a spectator sport, life that is. Living it, for me anyhow, on purpose is where it’s at. I have no more answers that I did yesterday and probably tomorrow but I’m not sure that’s really the point anymore.

The point is living it. Life. Showing up in whatever form you can and riding this all until the wheels fall off.

Its just another ordinary miracle after all. I love you, bye.

“Be patient toward all that is unsolved in your heart and try to love the questions themselves, like locked rooms and like books that are now written in a very foreign tongue. Do not now seek the answers, which cannot be given you because you would not be able to live them. And the point is, to live everything. Live the questions now. Perhaps you will then gradually, without noticing it, live along some distant day into the answer.” Rainer Maria Rilke

Those who don’t believe in miracles will never find them
